longer, and yet drew upon autotheoretical approaches to reckon with the conspicuous absences in our stories and knit together the threads scarred across generations. driven by a shared desire to find a way to go on in the continuing after, the artists take care to avoid harm, employing the modes of concealment and transfiguration – sometimes echoed in erasure or fictional strategies.

camille cargill (curator and artist) works with a trauma-informed approach to withholding in the practice of art. through practice, she conjures emotional landscapes from occasionally personal archives, and attempts to embody the corporeal and cerebral scars that exist as afterimages.  

Maddison Wandel is a visual artist working with photography in Naarm/Melbourne. She is interested in the photograph as something worn on the outside, like a silver chain around the neck. Images and text explore the risk of exposure and the lens as a tool for measuring.

marina o is a writer and artist of slavic ancestry living and working in Naarm. they use essayistic writing to explore queer and neurodivergent perspectives and speculative autofiction to recover lesser-known queer ancestral lineages and histories. marina is a member of Minorities Research Group.
